Stop, Look, and CAPTURE.

Two things – There are times to take a photo and times you should just stand there and appreciate.

I have made a pact with myself: If I am in my car, with camera, and see something strange or beautiful or both, I will take a photo. This happens a lot for me because I shoot twilight photos 5 days a week. This particular time was during the July 2012 flooding of Cypress Creek and surrounding areas. I know many people had to move to drier land and a lot of property value was damaged, but this photo is uniquely beautiful, with flooded banks.

Make sure to not BLOCK your life with a camera or smart phone in front of your face. I see people at concerts with their iPhones up, capturing video, not enjoying the concert. It is also quite distracting. I made sure to mention to one guy, “Make sure you ENJOY the concert!”

Stop, LOOK, then capture.
